Join us on a FREE Health Walk in Bishop’s Stortford Walking makes you look and feel good. It is ideal for people of all ages and fitness levels. Not only will it boost your mood but you’ll be walking with others who want to improve their health.

There are 4 walks in the town leaving from Castle Park, St James Church in Thorley and the Herts and Essex Hospital every Wednesday at 12 noon.   

The walk from the hospital is led  by your very own social prescribers Claire and Guppy who are trained to lead inclusive and safe walks.   It lasts 20 to 30 minutes and is on flat even paths with plenty of resting points.  

The walk is IDEAL  for patients who are unaccustomed to walking and who want to improve their functional fitness after an injury or illness.

Herts and Essex Hospital Meet outside hospitals reception area. Cavell Drive, CM23 5JH. Toilets are available in the hospital. Join Social Prescribers and others for a cuppa afterwards in the café.
Wednesdays - 12:00 Noon 
First steps: 20 to 30 minutes (Gentle walk, ideal for people recovering from injury or illness. Suitable for push chairs and wheel chair users)

Castle Park - Meet at the entrance to Castle Park by the Link Road car park, CM23 2EL Fridays 11:00am 
Grade 1 30 to 40 minutes
